How do invitation rewards work?
Create your code in Settings and invite a friend. You each earn 5 extra places after the new account passes verification, device checks, 72 hours and a first location photo visit. My referrals shows pending and approved registrations.
Is Wayfarer free?
Yes. Add 50 distinct places for free, create trips from your photos and see shared visits in your feed. Adding another photo or visit to a place you have already added does not use another place. Earn extra places through referrals or add unlimited places with Plus.
Which devices are supported?
iPhone running iOS 17 or later. Wayfarer is an iPhone app; there is no Android or web version yet.
Does Wayfarer upload my photo library?
No. Photo location analysis runs on your device. Only the photos you select for a visit are resized, stripped of unnecessary EXIF data and stored in your private album.
Is Wayfarer only for boats?
No. Wayfarer is for every kind of trip: city breaks, road trips, hikes and days on the water. Each visit is tagged by land or by sea, and everything lives on one map.
Who can see my trips and photos?
Your visits start private. You choose what to share with mutual friends, with all your followers, or keep them private. People see only the places and photos you have chosen to share with them.
Can I export or delete my data?
Yes. Export your places, trips and social activity from the app. Account deletion has a 14-day cancellation period.
